What is Acidification?

The PRAL value, however, provides information about how much acid the body has to excrete through the kidneys. Acid-forming foods, however, have to be almost completely deleted from the menu or balanced by base-forming ones. Above all, a lot of fresh fruit, vegetables, salads, herbs and juices are among the most important basic foods. The supply of proteins, such as quark or cheese, must be minimized. Even whole grain cereals are considered weak to medium acidifying. Meanwhile, strongly basic appear:
